Supply, Shipping and Logistic Challenges

Recent demand for corneal tissue has been very high. Tissue supply has not kept pace with this increased demand. Despite this, CorneaGen has been able to maintain extremely strong domestic delivery performance.
As we’re sure you’re aware, the FAA is reducing flight capacity across the country to ease pressure on Air Traffic Controllers and ensure flight safety. Flight cancellations and delays are expected to impact both passenger and cargo traffic.
We want to proactively communicate with you that the next few weeks are going to be quite challenging for the eye banking industry. We are grateful for your continued flexibility and understanding as we navigate these challenges, while prioritizing patient care and service to you.
While this situation is going to present unprecedented logistical challenges, we want to assure you that we are committed to doing all within our power and influence to ensure successful tissue shipments and delivery for your scheduled surgeries. Our operational team monitors tissue shipments through delivery. If you or your staff would like tracking information provided at the time of shipping, please contact us Tissue@CorneaGen.com
